Real-time differential carrier phase GPS-aided INS
نویسندگان
چکیده
This article describes the implementation and experimental results of a real-time carrier phase differential global positioning system (GPS) aided inertial navigation system (INS). The implementation is the result of a study to analyze the capabilities of such a system relative to the requirements of advanced vehicle control and safety systems (AVCSS) for intelligent transportation systems. Such navigation systems have many application possibilities (e.g., aviation and precision flight, automated mining, precision farming, dredging, satellite attitude control). Advantages and disadvantages of the GPS, INS, and differential GPS-aided INS approaches are discussed. The implementation achieves 100-Hz vehicle state estimates with position accuracies at the centimeter level through the use of differential carrier phase GPS techniques.

Integration of MEMS INS with GPS Carrier Phase Derived Velocity: A new approach
In view of the fast development of MEMS technology, the quick reduction of MEMS sensor cost, and the continuous improvements in MEMS sensor accuracy, MEMS based INS have become an increasingly important geospatial sensor in navigation, positioning and control applications. It is believed that MEMS INS could eventually replace the conventional INS sensors in middle to lower end applications. How...
متن کاملGPS Cycle Slip Detection Considering Satellite Geometry Based on TDCP/INS Integrated Navigation
This paper presents a means of carrier phase cycle slip detection for an inertial-aided global positioning system (GPS), which is based on consideration of the satellite geometry. An integrated navigation solution incorporating a tightly coupled time differenced carrier phase (TDCP) and inertial navigation system (INS) is used to detect cycle slips. Cycle-slips are detected by comparing the sat...

This paper proposes a novel architecture for ultra-tight integration of a High Sensitivity Global Positioning System (HSGPS) receiver with an Inertial Navigation System (INS), to address the issue of GPS tracking and positioning in degraded signal environments. By enhancing signal tracking loops in receivers through the use of optimal controllers/estimators and aiding from external source such ...
متن کاملAn IMU-Aided Carrier-Phase Differential GPS Positioning System
We consider the problem of carrier-phase differential GPS positioning for an land vehicle navigation system (LVNS), tightly coupled with an inertial measurement unit (IMU) and a speedometer. The primary focus is to apply Bayesian network to an IMU-aided GPS positioning system based on carrierphase differential GPS. We describe the implementation details of the positioning system that integrates...
متن کاملMitigating the Correlations in INS-aided GPS Tracking Loop Measurements: A Kalman Filter Based Approach
The fusion of GPS and INS is undertaken at different levels to leverage the benefits of both technologies, and to provide a robust solution. Loose and Tight Coupling schemes have been in existence for more than a decade. Though these two configurations were used in many applications, the goal is always to improve the robustness of the navigation solution. With this objective, and the rapid deve...
